Today we are talking Cayman Island classics, and one of our most favorite ingredients from the islands is conch! Conch is a sea snail that is native to the shallow, warm Caribbean waters. They are famous around the world for their shells, but in the Cayman Islands, we love them for their taste. Here are a few ways to enjoy these popular delicacies from the sea.

Cracked conch is as simple as its name, the conch meat is pounded, battered and fried. A delicious treat that's easy to eat with your hands.

Conch salad is spicy and refreshing in the same exact bite, the conch is mixed with onions, peppers and a ton of lime. It's the Cayman version of ceviche.

Conch soup is a savory, soul-melting meal that perfect when the temperature drops below a cool seventy degrees.

And we can’t forget to mention conch stew, also known as the national dish. A heavier version of conch soup equipped with potatoes, rice, and veggies. It’s absolutely worth a try!
